Spinal Research

 Spinal Research

Spinal Research conducts research into nerve damage and is a leader in England in the development of new methods for the treatment of nerve damage in the back.

Without this type of research, I, and many with me, would not be able to walk today. Research is central to the development of new treatment methods.

Over 2.5 million people today suffer from paralysis.

"Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding research around the world to develop effective treatments for Spinal Cord Injury. We exist to beat paralysis and believe in a future where it is no longer a life sentence.
Our mission is to harness the power of international science to deliver revolutionary treatments. Thanks to the innovative research we have already funded, many experimental treatments have had ground-breaking changes on spinal cord injury and its effects in the laboratory and others are in human trials."

#TeamSpinal
I believe in this "pay it forward" thing. I can't make surgery on a back but maybe I can do something else for someone and what suits me better than running and helping at the same time.

I was so happy when I got the opportunity to represent #TeamSpinal and Spinal Research UK in the 2024 London Marathon.
